This month – March 2020

0-2’s:  Our Starfish have wasted no time in getting into Spring mode! The children have been very busy making new wall and window displays (including painting their own bumblebees and flowers and making a rainbow using hand and foot prints), have been enjoying playing in a makeshift garden centre and are now getting ready to plant their own seeds for flowers The children also have a small vegetable garden on the go where they have planted some tasty carrots and yummy tomatoes. Watch this space for photos when they start sprouting!

2-3’s:  Our toddlers are also busy concentrating on Spring and Easter and have begun also changing their window display. Using plenty of paints, glitter, pens, crayons and stickers, large flowers will suddenly begin sprouting up at the windows. The children are also starting to get excited for Easter and will begin designing their own eggs, bunnies and chicks using their creativity and sticking skills. We will also soon we welcoming Emma Roots who has taken over from Deryn as Room Leader and will also be our SENCo. March is sure to be busy for our Seahorses!

3-5’s:  Our preschoolers are in the middle of learning about fairy tales and are currently concentrating on Jack and the Beanstalk after previously looking at Red Riding Hood. Having made a giant beanstalk that’s slowly creeping up the door frame, the children are busy acting out the stories using props and dressing up. The preschoolers will also be helping to make our hallway egg-citing by decorating their own Easter eggs and bunnies using junk modelling.
